He was an Austrian painter, poet, and playwright best known for his expressionistic portraits. He started his art career by painting portraits of Viennese celeberities, but then joined the army in World War I. During the war he was wounded and after that trama the doctors decided he was mentally instable. So, he focused on his paintings after that by traveling Europe and developed his style of expression.
